BKind serves year-round every Saturday in Glen Burnie, rain or shine. Our set-up time begins at 11:30 am, and serve till 12:30 pm. Each week our friends receive lunch and groceries to go, as well as hygiene and clothing, if needed. We serve roughly125 to 150 individuals on any given Saturday.
Who we are
BKind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide food, clothing, and hygiene products to those less fortunate. We provide help to individuals in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide food, clothing, and hygiene products to those less fortunate in the area. We also provide assistance, as we are able, to volunteers who may be experiencing a personal crisis. Our community outreach serves everyone who shows up without judgement or regard to their ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic or religious background. In a world of choices, we choose to BKind.
Our History
BKind was formed in 2019 as a non-profit dedicated to serving homeless and less fortunate individuals and families in Maryland’s Anne Arundel County. It began as a group of six volunteers bringing lunches and bags with hygiene supplies to homeless individuals living in tents in wooded areas. From there, our outreach continued to grow to the point where we now serve approximately 200 people every Saturday in an outdoor setting.
We have established relationships with a number of community volunteer groups who help us distribute clothing, hot meals, fresh fruit and produce, canned goods, grocery items, frozen meats, bread, and deserts donated by local organizations and grocery stores.
